Spread sunshine, white beaches, Santa Marta a place to care!
At eleven o'clock Tuesday night, February 9, after saying goodbye, hugging and mourn for the game, we started our journey from Garzón to Santa Marta.
"The heart was soft and with little flavor"
We arrived in Bogota at about seven o'clock, rain waiting for the departure of the aircraft. Meanwhile We were fortunate to find my brother Julian, Liliana and my niece Tatiana, whom we first met. Traveled to Bogota to take the girl to her monthly treatment for leukemia. Tatiana is beautiful, has bright eyes and a joyful spirit that the disease has not dimmed. We need to know my other nephew who did not reach, living in Puerto Nariño. Leeeejos.
Although there were a few hours, it was a sweet moment to be with another part of the family.
We took the flight at three in the afternoon, at half past four we were in Santa Marta.
The oldest city in South America.
(to travel by bus from Bogota to Santa Marta is 17 hours).

... and then to wander a bit ...

next day ...
before our eyes: the whiteness of THE BEACH AND THE COLOR OF THE SEA !
In "RODADERO"
warm crystal clear water!!
The rodadero is one of the favorite tourist attractions for water sports.
muuuuuuuuuuuchos and vendors offering shrimp, oysters, snails, coconut candies, sodas, beer, massages!, banana boat rides, walks in the Tayrona ........... .
Many times we had to say - "no thanks", "not now, thank you" and other opportunities to negotiate the prices of things . Hear pod!
Rodadero has numerous hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, where are the joy and rhythms typical of the entire Caribbean region.
"I like the color that is in the morning,
and see the colors of sunset,
feet feel the sand on the beach
the sweet cane and the aroma of coffee "
That life is beautiful!

San Agustin Archaeological Park: Mystery Carved in stone.
San Augustine, is one of the magical places of Huila you can not miss. It is the place to walk when you study at school! Perhaps at that age were not paying much attention to the explanations, so today has been great to get back on track, hear and feel the magic of this culture. We enjoyed the family, my children and nephews visited him for the first time, my parents remembered their visit over thirty years! San Augustine never ceases to amaze.
The park is much more care, have recovered a large number of sculptures have been found on farms and others brought from Europe!
Some have been broken by the "looters" to see if they had treasures inside.
On our tour, four hours, we were accompanied by a guide, connoisseur of the culture of St. Augustine who explained to us each sculpture. After the first hour alone we describe some of them.
INFORMATION
Archaeological Park San Agustín, located in the department of Huila, is the only place known for impressive five hundred stone statues carved in accordance with the mythology of the Indian sculptors.
for its historical and cultural importance, the park was declared a Unesco World Heritage in 1995.
Most of the statues was part of funeral paraphernalia of the ancient inhabitants of this region and was associated with burial rites, the spiritual power of the dead and the supernatural world.
The grandeur of the statues and tombstones reflect, today, a complex system of thought of these foreign cultures who understood and explained the world in its own way, carving the mystery and immortalized in stone.
Park consists of:
The giant statues were carved in stone on the principles of design, abstraction and symbolism, volume management and space.
Many of the statues, ranging from one to seven feet tall and can weigh over a ton, are focused on the duality of life, the sun and the moon, death and birth.
According to research, the people of St. Augustine, under pressure from aggressive invaders, was forced to leave their land and move to the Amazon and Orinoco. The disappearance occurred between 1300-1400 AD.
